Exciting announcement from the depths of outer space! My short comic “Bedtime with Binface” will be featured in The Count Binface Comic Book, a new comic anthology celebrating the political troublemaker from Sigma IX, published by SelfMadeHero.

If you liked my first little comic book (no) change for you, or you like political satire in general, you’ll love this project. I had a great time telling the story of Count Binface and the upcoming Clacton by-election, alongside 35 other fantastic comic creators who will also share their own take on the intergalactic space warrior.

Pre-orders are available now from Gosh Comics, and the book will go on sale on 6th August – only a week from now, and just a week before the election itself! Other retailers will follow about a week later (but do support your friendly Soho comic book shop if you can). 72 pages of comics goodness for a mere tenner. What value – dare I say, bargain bin level.

Also, if there weren’t already 36 great reasons to support this project, 10% of the proceeds will go to support the charity Shelter, via Books For Good.

I’ve been in a few comics anthologies now, but as wonderful as those were, they’ve all been self-published community projects. This is quite different – my first time being featured in a book from a full-on publisher. And it’s SelfMadeHero no less! They published Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley, one of my all-time favourite comic books from one of my all-time favourite creators.

The contributor list for this project really is something else – some of the finest comics talent in the UK, a couple of whom I even have the pleasure of calling friends. It’s quite an honour to be featured in this project. So please, check out the book, tell your friends, and let’s all point and laugh at Nigel Farage together.

Oh, and huge thanks to Matthew Robinson, who parachuted in at the last minute to help me colour my entry before a very tight submission deadline. A giant among men, honestly. I would love to see more comics from that guy – he’s so good at what he does.
